Step-by-Step: How to Create a Match Cancellation Graphic
If a match gets called off at short notice, the information needs to be communicated quickly and clearly.
With Spieltag.Studio, you can create a match cancellation graphic in just a few seconds — based on your existing Matchday design.
1. Open the Cancellation Section
After logging in, you’ll find the menu item “Create” on the left side of your dashboard.
Select:
👉 Match Cancellation
This opens the cancellation editor.
2. Select the Matchday
A cancellation graphic is always based on an existing Matchday graphic.
The editor automatically imports:
- Opponent
- Competition
- Date & time
- Location
- Colors & layout of your Matchday post
The cancellation is placed on top of your graphic as an overlay banner.
ℹ️ Note:
A cancellation can only be created if a Matchday post already exists.
3. Choose banner color & text color
The cancellation consists of an overlay banner placed over your Matchday layout.
You can adjust:
- Banner color
- Text color
This ensures the message stays readable — no matter the background.
4. Add an optional additional text
Directly beneath the word “Cancelled” inside the banner, you can add a short additional note, such as:
- “Pitch closed”
- “Cancelled due to weather”
- “Opponent did not show up”
- “Pitch unplayable”
The text is placed in the correct position automatically.
5. Generate the graphic
To finalize your post, click:
